2017 SCALED COMPETITION

The idea came about a few years back, and since then people have loved it. A competition that is exclusively for the folks who want to compete in CrossFit, with the bright lights on them, but aren’t quite ready to throw down with the top athletes from their gyms.

However, unlike most competitions, YOU do not get to self select whether you’ll compete or not. We will. Registration is a multi part process, and you must get invited. See details below.

The idea here is that we, the organizers of the event, will determine whether or not you should be competing in a scaled competition. Basically, are you too strong, or too fast, or too this or too that. This will allow the most possible equal playing feild and keep anyone who is over qualified from signing up and just smoking everyone.

We have predetermined data that determines whether someone is or isn’t qualified to compete. Should someone fall into the grey area (really strong, but cardio isnt there, or vice versa) we’ll reach out to your coaches and ask their opinion.  Please be as honest as possible when answering the questionnaire. 

Date: June 24th, 2017
Location: CrossFit Rampage, 1402 West College Street, Murfreesboro TN 37129
Time: Starts at 10AM. Competitors arrive by at 9:00AM.
Cost: $70
Number of Events: 4.  (Do not think of this as 4 grueling workouts. An “event” could simply be a short event like a 55 calorie row for time,…which happened in 2016)
Registration starts: NOW, until we are at capacity. (40 Men / 40 Women )

HOW TO SIGN UP:

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT. 
Not just everyone is allowed to sign up for this competition.
We are asking all athletes who are interested in competing in the scaled competition to answer a questionnaire.
In order for this competition to include athletes who are truly at the scaled level, we are going to weed out athletes based on an exclusion criteria that has been predetermined.Once complete, you will get a response as soon as possible informing you if you are allowed to compete, or if your skill set and fitness level surpasses the level of the competition.Registration Steps:

1) Fill out the questionnaire.

2) Await response from CrossFit Rampage.

3) If you’re qualified we’ll send you an invitation along with the payment link. (Your invitation expires 1 week from the date of when it was sent to you)

4) Complete registration by making payment via paypal.


We will record the date we sent the invite, and you will have EXACTLY 1 WEEK to make your decision on whether you are in or not. There are no “verbal” commitments or “I want in but I don’t get Paid till….”
1 week after your invite is sent, if the field is Full, your invitation is invalid.

Here is a list of almost all of the movements you can expect to see at this year’s competition. There is a possibility that not all of these movements will be featured, but this provides a good view of how we will be testing your fitness. If there are any movements or loading listed below that you are not comfortable performing, please contact us via the info inquiry box on the right side of the site. You will not be disqualified if you need to scale beyond the movement standards listed.

-NO REQUIRED DOUBLE UNDERS
-NO HANDSTAND ANYTHING
-NO PULL-UPS OR MUSCLE UPS
-NO REQUIRED SQUAT CLEANS OR SQUAT SNATCHES
-NO REQUIRED SUPER HEAVY LOADING (subjective, we know)
-NO ROPE CLIMBS
-NO AIR BIKES

*Again, this list includes most but not all of the movements. The loading may vary slightly, but “required” weights will not exceed 155lbs for the fellas or 110 lbs for the ladies. You can expect classic Crossfit style workouts; we aren’t out to trick or fool anyone here! If you regularly participate in Crossfit Classes, you will be right at home with these workouts.
