My goal is to continually improve my fitness, and to be competitive in local competitions….Regionals might too far above me, but who knows lol.

1. How did you get started with CrossFit Rampage?

– I wanted to find a gym that my wife and I could come together to. I have known Korey for a long time, as we graduated from MTSU with exercise science degrees together.  I personally wanted a coach I know I could trust, both on the floor and with programming. I researched all the Crossfit gyms in this area just to cover my bases, but I knew what Korey had going on here was the best bet. It was an easy decision.

2. What do you like most about CrossFit Rampage (i.e. What keeps you coming back)?

– Korey’s passion about crossfit comes out every time he coaches. He is not in this business to make money, he just loves it that much, and it is evident throughout the atmosphere of the gym. It is a family here. We enjoy training with each other and pushing one another to beyond our limits. All of that goes back to owner/coach, it all starts with him, and he has laid a groundwork of passion, enthusiasm, and hard work. That is what I most like about Crossfit Rampage.

3. What improvements have you noticed since you started CrossFit?

– My conditioning continues to improve everyday. I have also noticed improvements in my overhead strength and in skill related movements. It is a grind everyday with clear objectives and goals set to accomplish what we need.

4. What advice would you give someone wanting to try CrossFit?

– I would advise anyone looking to try Crossfit to research the gyms. The Crossfit model will work at any gym. You will see results. However, the most important aspect is finding a gym home that you will feel a part of and will want to continue to better yourself at that gym. That is what I have found at Crossfit Rampage, a home that I look forward to being at everyday.

Goal is to tighten everything up while building the endurance to run a marathon (or maybe even a Crossfit competition!)

1. How did you get started with CrossFit Rampage?

-A little backstory: Up until my Junior year of college I was always a relatively fit, active person. Then the joys chronic stress, lack of sleep, medical issues, and a new sedentary desk job got the better of me, and I gained nearly 75 lbs to the weight I am today. I would join regular gyms, but would loose motivation after a while and eventually stop going. I was always curious about Crossfit, and happened to have a Facebook friend that completely changed herself with it. One day I saw a video of her performing a perfect handstand pushup, then another doing a heavy push jerk, and I wanted so bad to do that, too. So, I convinced my husband to try it with me. We have been hooked since day one.

2. What do you like most about CrossFit Rampage (i.e. What keeps you coming back)?

-My family thinks i’m crazy for putting myself through all these insane workouts, but it’s addicting! Especially since I never thought I could lift weights before, let alone all the different ways to lift, now it’s my favorite thing to do. I also love being around so many wonderful people who will drop what they are doing to help you out or answer a question if you need it. I have never been to a gym with such a communal atmosphere- it feels like an extended family.

3. What improvements have you noticed since you started CrossFit?

-I still haven’t had any luck in the weight loss department, however, I can tell a phenomenal difference in the way I carry myself. I can run further, bend easier, squat better than I ever dreamed, and I can tell I am physically stronger than I was when I first started. A bonus improvement, for me, was the clearer skin that comes with sweating like a racehorse after every WOD!

4. What advice would you give someone wanting to try CrossFit?

-I have been with Crossfit for 7 months now, and have barely scratched the surface of everything I could potentially do, yet I feel like a warrior after every workout. You will literally reap what you sow in this field, and it’s definitely not an overnight success, but it’s absolutely worth it. And when you get to do things like bump up your max weight on the white board or complete a ridiculous WOD around the same time as everyone else, that’s just icing on the cake.

Primary goal is to get in shape and stay fit, which just simply allows me to be more productive at home with family and at work. Second, I would love to compete in local CrossFit events. I just really like the camaraderie from the participants and spectators at the events. I also believe this would give my children a chance to see how hard work and dedication can pay off.

I can dream of competing in a regional event. I know that is long ways down the road and will take patience and time, but that would be the ultimate goal.

1. How did you get started with CrossFit Rampage?

-After trying a few other gyms for about 1 year, I decided to give CrossFit a try and chose CrossFit Rampage. Started with the Foundations course and really liked the amount of time and coaching that went into those first few sessions to get me going on the right path.

2. What do you like most about CrossFit Rampage (i.e. What keeps you coming back)?

-I really like the friendly, yet competitive, atmosphere at CrossFit Rampage. Everyone is pulling for each other and very supportive. I also can’t say enough about the coaching that takes place on a daily basis. Korey and staff do a great job of making sure things are done correctly in a very fun, upbeat setting.

3. What improvements have you noticed since you started CrossFit?

-I have noticed many improvements that are directly related to the advice and coaching received. I have not met all of my CrossFit goals, but I am confident that I am making progress most every day. Mobility, strength and my general fitness level have improved dramatically. I really notice this when trying to keep up with my children or working around the house.

4. What advice would you give someone wanting to try CrossFit?

-Don’t be afraid or intimidated by CrossFit. You will get more out of an hour class than you can imagine, and it can all be done at a level that is appropriate for you right now. It is a very rewarding experience and a lot of fun with new friends.

My goal in CrossFit is just to be the best I can be and live a long, healthy life. I’m competitive by nature. But I don’t really have an end goal – I’m always working to get stronger, faster, & more flexible. Every time I reach a goal, I just adjust the mark a little higher. I can’t imagine my life with the fitness and friendships I’ve gained at CrossFit Rampage!

1. How did you get started with CrossFit Rampage?

-I wanted to start CrossFit & I really just picked the gym closest to home. I called Korey, showed up for class, and was sold.

2. What do you like most about CrossFit Rampage (i.e. What keeps you coming back)?

-I love CrossFit – but it’s the people that keep me coming back to Rampage. Everyone is encouraging & interested in my progress. I miss all my workout buddies on the days I don’t come to the gym!

3. What improvements have you noticed since you started CrossFit?

-I’ve always exercised to varying degrees. But I was thinner than I wanted to be. In my year of CrossFit, I’ve gained 15 lbs (of muscle I guess since my size didn’t change) and gotten so much stronger. Really the improvements are everything from overall fitness, eating habits, and confidence.

4. What advice would you give someone wanting to try CrossFit?

-Just do it. You have to set reasonable expectations for yourself. It’s not going to feel comfortable or easy, probably not ever. But my one promise with CrossFit is you will always see forward progress!

“..Just wanted to say that as I follow the programming from the gyms back home because i don’t have time to make my own wods, I consistently notice CrossFit Rampages’ programming is better than most. Keep it up guys!” –Marshall  from Hawaii

“2nd blood pressure reading in the last week or so, at 100/80, lowest I’ve seen it in quite a while, no doubt thanks to CrossFit…I was already working out twice a week when I started CF, but I imagine the change is due to both workout intensity and the radical change in diet, i.e. adding fresh fruit and vegetables, avoiding pre-packaged and processed carbs and other foods” – Quentin

“Got told I looked like an athlete…and that I needed to have my own workout video. Thanks CrossFit Rampage.” – Connie

“Sunday I played with my daughter outside for several hours, running around and kicking a ball and generally being silly. 6 months ago I would have been back in the house after a half hour, sweating and breathing heavily. Crossfit Rampage has tangibly improved my quality of life. You can’t put a price on that.” – Hutch
